1. Information We Collect

Verci collects information you provide when you apply for membership, create an account, and use our service. This includes:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • City, birthday, gender, and neighborhood preferences
  • Creative industry, bio, interests, and fun facts
  • Matching preferences (similar field, different field, or both)
  • Availability responses for biweekly meetup cycles
  • Post-meetup feedback and ratings
  • Payment information (processed securely via Stripe — we do not store card details)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Match you with groups of 5-6 fellow creatives for biweekly meetups
  • Send you SMS messages about availability, group introductions, meetup reminders, and feedback requests
  • Send you email notifications including welcome confirmations and group backup information
  • Process your membership payments via Stripe
  • Improve our matching algorithm based on feedback and preferences
  • Communicate important updates about the service

3. SMS and Email Communications

By becoming a member, you consent to receive SMS messages from Verci at the phone number you provide. These messages include:

  • Biweekly availability check-ins (every other Monday)
  • Availability reminders (Thursday before each cycle)
  • Group introductions via group text when you are matched
  • Day-of meetup reminders
  • Post-meetup feedback requests

Message frequency varies but is typically 4-6 messages per cycle (every two weeks). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.

We also send transactional emails including welcome confirmations and group introduction backups via SendGrid.

4. Information Sharing

We share limited profile information (first name, last name, industry, bio, interests, and fun fact) with other members in your match group so you can coordinate your meetup. This information is shared via group text message.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following service providers solely to operate the service:

  • Supabase (database and authentication)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Twilio (SMS and group chat messaging)
  • SendGrid (transactional email)
  • Vercel (hosting)

5. Data Retention

We retain your profile and matching data for as long as your membership is active. If you cancel your membership, we retain your data for 90 days in case you reactivate, after which it is deleted. SMS message logs are retained for 12 months for audit purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and update your profile information at any time via your dashboard
  • Opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Request a copy of your personal data

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Authentication is handled via Supabase with encrypted sessions. Payment data is processed by Stripe and never touches our servers. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify members of significant changes via email or SMS. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
